Diamond Threat is out: Minecraft, but diamonds make mobs bigger
Our first Minecraft mod: every diamond you carry makes the monsters around you bigger. Drop them and they shrink, until a mob eats them. Free on CurseForge.
Diamond Threat is box 1 on the board, and it is out today: a free mod for Minecraft Java 1.21.1 on NeoForge.
The rule
Every diamond you carry makes the hostile mobs around you bigger. One vein of eight diamonds and a zombie is twice its size. Twenty-four, a full set of diamond armor, and it is four times its size, about eight blocks tall, with more health and a harder hit.
So you drop them, and the mobs shrink. But a mob that walks over dropped diamonds eats them and keeps the size for good. Kill it and you get them back. Throw them in lava and nobody does.
A THREAT bar at the top of the screen shows how big things get, and nothing else is added to the screen, so it films clean.

Install it into a NeoForge 1.21.1 profile with the CurseForge app, and the app adds KubeJS and KubeLoader with it. In a world with cheats on, /threat test shows a giant zombie and the bar, so you know it works. The app page has the questions people ask first.
How it is built
The mod is a KubeJS script, written in TypeScript and checked against three versions of the script engine before every release. It is open source under the MIT license, on GitHub, and the code is written with Claude, an AI model. Every rule and number is in the rules.
What comes next
Diamond Threat now has 28 days to find its players, and then a verdict, like every app on the board. Box 2 starts tomorrow, October 15: Deleted on Death, Minecraft where the block you die on is deleted from the world for good.
