Factory Board privacy
Updated October 7, 2026
Factory Board is a free web tool at https://factory-board.ludven.com that reads a Satisfactory save and says which production lines are slow and why. This page says what it does with your data.
Your save stays on your device
When you drop a save on the page, it is read inside your browser tab. It is never uploaded, to us or to anyone. The file on your disk is only read, never changed.
What the page keeps in your browser
- Your plan, the production targets you set, in your browser's local storage.
- A short history of the saves you dropped, for the History view, in your browser's IndexedDB.
- A recipe book, if you drop your game's en-US.json, in IndexedDB, so you need not drop it again.
All of it stays on your device and we never see it. Clearing your browser's site data for factory-board.ludven.com deletes it.
What we collect
- Visits. We count page views with Umami, an analytics tool that runs on our own server in Germany. It sets no cookies and does not identify you. It records the page, the site you came from, your browser, your operating system, your device type and your country, worked out from your IP address, which it does not keep.
- Five events, counted the same way: a save was dropped, a save could not be read (with one of four coarse reasons, such as too big), a recipe book was loaded, the demo was opened, and a result was copied. Nothing read from a save travels with any of them: no file names, no session names, no numbers from your factory.
- Server logs. Our web server keeps your IP address, browser and the time of each request for 14 days, to keep the site running and safe, then deletes them.
There is no account, no advertising and no tracking cookie, and we sell no data.
Things only you can send
- Copy for Reddit or Discord puts the board's findings on your clipboard. Your session name is left out unless you tick the box. Where you paste it is up to you.
- A bug report link opens a new issue on GitHub with the error, the app version, the save's game build and your browser filled in. Nothing is sent until you submit it on GitHub, under GitHub's privacy policy: https://docs.github.com/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement
